Government (church?) Denies Knowledge

The truth is out there.

Government denies knowledge.

Apology is policy.

Trust no one.

I want to believe.

All these sayings come from the most creative show in TV history: The X-Files.

Fox Mulder and Dana Scully battle all sorts of conspiracies as they seek to find "the truth." Along the way they encounter people who have part of the truth, but even those who think they possess all the truth discover they only have claim to part of the truth.

It reminds me a little bit of this religious smorgasbord that we call the Christian religion.

Each group claims to have "the truth," but these claims are baseless because possessing the entire truth would then make unity a reality. Well, maybe ... people are a little stubborn.

Or maybe we are all a little like Mulder and Scully in our quest for the truth.

If so, then who represents the government that denies knowledge and attempts to keep the truth hidden (or simply spins its version of the truth)?

Wait a second ... then who is Skinner?

So many questions.

The truth is out there.

At least, I want to believe that it is.
