Summer Scenes

Okay, so summer does not officially end until September 22, but the beginning of the school year signals the end of summer festivities for students of all ages.

Education once again becomes the operative word. Teachers organize lesson plans and prepare for another group of students to grace their classrooms. Students don't usually spend much time preparing for the beginning of school (unless you count shopping as preparation), but they know what is coming.

Looking back on past summers brings a lot of memories to mind. Most of us can remember a "summer love." Others of us can recall a special vacation. And then there are the memories that were born out of neighborhood-adventures with neighborhood-kids.

I realize that asking questions on this blog is a risky endeavor (not a lot of responses), but let's walk on the wild side: what is your favorite summer memory? Who was one special summer love you remember?
