Sports Report

The U12 Bulldogs improved to 2-0 with a 13-0 win over a younger U10 Academy team this past Saturday. Leading the Bulldogs with 3 goals apiece were Rachel Shumate and Madi Walter. Scoring two goals each were Katie McKay, Rebecca Shumate, and Mandy Sparkman. Also scoring 1 goal was Hannah Brewster.

The U12 Bulldogs next game is Saturday, October 4.

In other action, the U14 Bulldogs tied (3-3) in their second contest of the year. Scoring goals were Abbi Booker, Melissa Beard and Tayla Greiff. The U14 Bulldogs next play Thursday, October 2.

In football news, the Bombers tied their first game of the season 6-6 against a tough Haughton team. Drew Brewster did a great job at center and defensive end throughout the game. Even though the offense was unable to generate more than one touchdown, the defense kept the Haughton offense in check, as Drew, when playing DE, was faced with several double-teams.

The Bombers next play TONIGHT! What an exciting Monday night! I get to watch Drew and the Bombers play, then watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. My two favorite football players in the world are playing tonight: Drew Brewster and Troy Polamalu!

Are you ready for some football!
